OSHA requires employees to have access to SDS’s and understand them. Very few safety, hazardous material, and industrial hygiene professionals truly know how to understand the data in an SDS let alone “all employees.” This course will delve into the understanding of the technical content in a SDS with a special emphasis on toxicology. The course will also cover how to manage misleading information, review of specific sections for use such as shipping and disposal, and address the confusing topic of pharmaceutical SDS’s. This is considered an intermediate to advanced course.
